Over the past few weeks, LosDos has been dealing with several attacks, ranging from false domain reports to DDoS attacks.
This morning, LosDos faced the worst attack yet. An attacker was able to access our billing system and delete files related to our store.losdos.su domain. We do have a backup, but it will take some time to restore everything.
Our registrar and reseller accounts were also affected, and the attacker attempted to hijack the logins. We were able to recover the email accounts associated with them, but we have not yet regained access to the registrar accounts.
The attacker enabled 2FA, but we were able to change the passwords, so they should no longer be able to access the accounts or modify any details.
We have contacted the registrars and are working with them to recover these accounts.
Unfortunately, losdos.ru has been taken down permanently and will not be coming back. Please use losdos.su for all future access and updates.
This was a failure on our part for not securing these accounts properly. We did not anticipate that running LosDos would bring this level of malicious activity.
We will continue trying to recover all accounts, restore store.losdos.su, and decide where to go from there.
We are truly sorry this happened. I am personally very sorry and saddened that things reached this point. We know we need to do better, and we hope to rebuild your trust by improving our security and handling situations like this better in the future.
